About the role
As an Engineering Manager at Scoro, you’ll lead people, technology, and ways of working. You’ll help our engineering teams build better software faster, while creating an environment where engineers can do their best work and grow in their careers.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You’ll stay close to the code, guide technical decisions, and drive adoption of modern, AI-assisted development practices. At the same time, you’ll coach engineers and help build a strong, sustainable team culture. You’ll work closely with Product, Design, and other teams to turn business goals into clear technical direction and reliable execution.

What will you do
Drive AI-assisted development by promoting adoption of tools for code generation, review, testing, refactoring, and overall developer productivity.
Contribute to coding and technical work in a partial, hands-on capacity, staying close to the codebase and helping with design, reviews, and high-impact implementations.
Strengthen the team through careful, deliberate hiring, supporting development, and creating the conditions for strong, sustainable performance.
Coach sw. engineers and leads, providing clear feedback, mentorship, and guidance on career progression.
Foster a healthy, inclusive, and high-performing team culture, grounded in trust, accountability, and continuous learning.
Promote continuous improvement by encouraging experimentation, learning from mistakes, and evolving processes and practices.
Lead cross-team and cross-group initiatives, improving alignment, collaboration, and engineering effectiveness across the organization.
Partner with Product, Design, and other stakeholders to translate business goals into clear technical priorities and execution plans.
You’d be a great fit if you have
10+ years of experience in software development, including 3+ years in an engineering leadership role.
Strong technical background with a proven track record of hands-on contribution to system design, architecture, and occasionally implementation.
Comfortable diving into code, reviews, and technical problem-solving when needed.
Experience designing and operating distributed systems and multiple architectural styles.
Deep understanding of Agile development, Continuous Delivery, and modern engineering practices.
Proven ability to take ownership, drive initiatives end-to-end, and continuously improve systems and processes.
Strategic mindset with the ability to balance short-term execution and long-term vision.
Strong mentoring and coaching skills, creating a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication and active listening skills.
Professional working proficiency in English.
Curious, open-minded, and continuously seeking better ways of working.
Bonus Points For
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience with incremental design and evolutionary architecture.
Hands-on experience designing and operating APIs (REST, GraphQL, and/or MCP servers).
Working knowledge of one or more of: PHP, Node.js, Go, SQL databases, Vue.js, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes.
Built internal AI tools, developer copilots, or autonomous agents.
Experience integrating LLMs into production products or engineering workflows.
Familiarity with prompt engineering, RAG, and/or agent orchestration frameworks.
