About the role

We’re looking for a VP of Engineering to lead Scoro’s engineering organisation and take full ownership of technical direction, delivery, and people growth. You’ll shape how we scale our architecture, strengthen our data and AI capabilities, and continue to improve our delivery practices.

You’ll work with a modern tech stack, a solid product foundation, and a strong engineering team, driving the next stage of innovation and growth.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be part of the management team. This is an excellent opportunity to shape the future of a growing SaaS company, with the freedom to make impactful decisions and bring new ideas to life.

This position is open to candidates based in Tallinn, Estonia.

What will you do

• Strategy & Vision: Define and lead Scoro’s engineering strategy, ensuring alignment with company-wide objectives and product direction.
• Leadership: Oversee and scale the engineering organisation (Sw. Engineering, Infra & DevOps, IT & Security, Support Engineering) by hiring, mentoring, and developing leaders and specialists to deliver a world-class SaaS platform.
• Collaboration with Product: Partner closely with Product to shape and execute the roadmap, ensuring technical feasibility and timely, high-quality delivery, and reach long-term objectives by being ahead of the needs.
• Execution & Processes: Ensure effective architecture, planning, and release management, while continuously improving engineering practices across design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Engineering Excellence: Uphold best practices in scalability, security, performance, and reliability to deliver high-quality, enterprise-grade software.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align engineering priorities with customer needs, go-to-market initiatives and long-term strategy, by working closely with Sales, Marketing, and Services.
• Market & Technology Awareness: Stay ahead of market and technology trends, bringing innovations that keep Scoro’s platform competitive and future-ready.

You’d be a great fit if you have

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise SaaS engineering, with a background in building and scaling software organisations.
• At least 5 years of experience leading and growing engineering organisations, coaching managers and supporting distributed teams.
• A strong foundation in modern software development, cloud infrastructure, and scalable architectures, with the confidence to dive into technical discussions when needed.
• Experience shaping and improving engineering processes and delivery practices that help teams work smarter and ship with quality.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, using data and metrics to support clear decisions.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, working effectively with Product and cross-functional stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, and Services.
• A hands-on, lead-by-example approach, combining strategic vision with the willingness to roll up your sleeves when the situation calls for it.
• An approachable, curious, and supportive leadership style that creates an environment where people feel supported and empowered to succeed together.

Bonus points for

• Experience working with our target industries – creative industries and professional services (e.g., marketing, advertising, architecture, consultancy).
• An entrepreneurial background, such as founding or building a startup.
